From the very start I knew this would be a very challenging project however it was a lot more challenging than I expected. However one of the reasons I thought it would be so easy was because the floor space was actually extremely small, however this turned out to be one of the reasons why it was so testing. It was difficult to actually design a multipurpose room in such a restricted and tight space. Another reason why it was difficult was because were used to designing buildings from foundations to roof, however for this project we had to make sure it was suspended off the ground connected to the existing building. So I did spend a lot more time on structural systems, materials and technologies.
Overall I did enjoy this project a lot even though I had to do a few all-nighters, but in the end it did pay off. I do think I could have improved the quality of work if I was given more time, but I’ve realised I need to be able to manage my time more efficiently to be able to meet deadlines. I did learn many other things for example how to create and render scenes to a greater quality, how to layout A1 pin-up sheet, what an exploded axo is, etc.
I hope you guys did enjoy reading about this project and I would love to know what your opinions are of my final concept :)
