So the main aim of the assignment was to create a basic massing model for our design project with immediate surrounding context. The fundamental objective was to create two main components, which we applied kinetic parameters and had to have at least two visually different/movable positions. We then had to apply these components to the building which we're designing for our final major project (although this doesn't have to actually be used for our final design project submissions). The components was to cover at least a surface of 100m2.
So for the past couple of weeks we have been looking very closely at adaptive components, which have kinetic parameters. For this assignment we were asked to research two components which could have been used already in an architectural project or something which we may want to include within our project.
