To know what colours are best to use we were told to find a drawing of a masterplan where there was successful use of colour and implement them into our own drawings. We also added shadows to the buildings to give them more depth and we also added trees into the landscape to make the drawings seem more realistic and to enhance the landscape.
Overall I was very pleased with the final outcome as I believe a learnt alot for example I'm now aware of a few constraints which can be found in sites and how to create a layout which can still work around them. The main thing I think I learnt from the most was the Photoshop tutorials, this is something in which I would like to develop in more of my projects to come. Also in the end I did manage to get 45 houses on the site, however I do think this is maybe a bit too dense for this site.
I wanted to say a BIG thankyou to the Taylor Wimpey associates for providing us with this great opportunity and I hope you are pleased with our outcomes. I also hope you guys enjoyed reading about this workshop and maybe learnt a thing or two. My aim is to drop a few tutorials on Illustrator and Photoshop soon as well.
